The mask determines whether CPAP therapy works in everyday life: if it doesn't fit, air escapes, the device compensates, and sleep suffers. At cpapgerate, you will find original masks from ResMed, Philips Respironics, and Fisher & Paykel in all three designs – nasal masks, nasal pillow masks, and full-face masks – each as a complete mask with headgear as well as the appropriate replacement parts.

Which design is right for you?

Nasal masks cover only the nose and are the most common design: lightweight, with an unobstructed field of vision, ideal for people who breathe through their nose at night. Nasal pillow masks rest with two small pillows directly at the nostrils; they have the smallest contact area, are suitable for glasses wearers and side sleepers, and hardly interfere with reading or watching TV. Full-face masks cover the nose and mouth and are the choice for mouth breathers, those with a stuffy nose, or when a chin strap is not sufficient. Models like the ResMed AirFit F30 attach below the nose and leave the bridge of the nose free.

Size and fit

Almost all masks come in several cushion sizes (usually S, M, L, sometimes "Wide" or "for Her"). The size is determined by the width of the nose or the distance between the nose root and chin, not by head size. Do I need a prescription to buy a CPAP mask?

No. At cpapgerate, no prescription is required for purchase. If you would like to send us your mask size or therapy report, please use the prescription upload.

How often should a CPAP mask be replaced?

The mask cushion loses elasticity over time and becomes leaky; manufacturers usually recommend a change every one to three months, and the complete mask about once a year. Headgear should be replaced when it stretches out.

Does every mask fit every CPAP device?

Yes, with one exception: all masks use the standard 22 mm connection and fit any common device and standard hose. Only the ResMed AirMini requires masks with the special AirMini connection.

Can I return a mask if it doesn't fit?

Unopened masks can be returned within 30 days. Opened masks are excluded from exchange as hygiene items – please choose the size carefully in advance or ask us.
