Full Face Masks

13 products

Full-face masks cover both the nose and mouth. They are designed for individuals who breathe through their mouth at night, often have a stuffy nose, or use higher therapy pressures where nasal masks can be difficult to seal. Here you will find full-face masks from ResMed (AirFit F20, F30, F30i, AirTouch F20, Mirage Quattro, Quattro Air, Mirage Liberty), Philips Respironics (DreamWear Full Face, Amara View, Amara Gel, ComfortGel Blue Full), and Fisher & Paykel (Simplus) – each complete with headgear.

Classic or under the nose?

Classic full-face masks like the AirFit F20 or Simplus rest on the bridge of the nose and completely cover the nose; they provide the largest sealing surface. Designs like the AirFit F30, F30i, or Amara View attach below the nose: the bridge of the nose remains free, the field of vision is more open, and pressure points on the nose are eliminated. The AirTouch F20 uses a foam cushion instead of silicone, which feels softer and can be cleaned without water.

Size and fit

The size is determined by the distance between the root of the nose and the tip of the chin (classic masks) or by the width of the mouth (under-the-nose masks). A full-face mask should not be pulled tight – it seals over the resting cushion edge, not through tension. Bearded individuals often fare better with models that have a large sealing surface or foam cushions.

Frequently asked questions

Full-face mask or nasal mask with chin strap?

If you only occasionally open your mouth, you can try a nasal mask with a chin strap. For consistent mouth breathing or frequently stuffy noses, the full-face mask is the more reliable solution.

Why does the mask press on the bridge of the nose?

Either the headgear is too tight or the cushion size does not fit. If readjusting does not help, a mask with a support below the nose (AirFit F30, Amara View) is an alternative.

How do I clean a full-face mask?

Wash the cushion daily with mild dish soap and warm water, and clean the frame and headgear weekly; allow to air dry. Foam cushions (AirTouch) are only wiped down and replaced regularly.
